Getting closer…
I think it was training day for the first officer as he definitely “stuck” the landing! There were actually a couple of small screams!
I was disappointed to see the “Band’s” gazebo was gone!
We stayed for “free” at the Marriott for two nights because we couldn’t get into the condo until Saturday. We’ve now stayed at the Ritz and Marriott and for my money a condo is the only way to go! Every time you turn around at a hotel you are tipping someone!
The Marriott has redesigned this property and it was very nice. The snorkeling at its artifical reef was pretty interesting and it gave us a new “look” on our morning beach walks. The hotel personnel were very accomodating and friendly and the food was pretty decent.
You can have the crowds!
And we were Happy to discover Cayman Lemonade – the official drink of GCM 2015!

So the first night ended with dinner at Casanova’s-by-the-Sea with our friend, the very talented and funny Eugenio Leon, harpist extraordinaire! The minute he comes to the table he plays Danny Boy for me! The food and staff at Casanova’s are exceptional!
They have copied the Wharf’s tarpon feeding and do it off the ironshore next to the deck. The little kids get a huge kick out of it.
I offered to stand and let Debbie sit but I was outvoted by Eugenio!
Friday morning and another beautiful day in paradise! I had a surprise set for Debbie after our morning walk – massages at the Le Mer Spa at the Marriott! It was wonderful after walking on a slant on the beach for two days.
