The artificial reef they created is very cool to snorkel around and over!
We had dinner at Casanova’s and spent some time with our friend Eugenio, had the fish tacos at Sunshine Suites and tried a new restaurant in Camana Bay – Ortanique! All were outstanding and the wait at Sunshine was only a half hour!
Great sunsets except for last night. Heading to Calypso Grill for lunch today and some snorkeling at Cemetery Reef.
The pictures and full story will begin when we get back on Saturday night.
Glad you’re having a good time. We’re getting close to our trip, too. And we can’t wait.
I’m sure there will be plenty of sun left for your visit Sarge! ?
One more day in paradise and then we head back to Chicago on Saturday. Had dinner at Catch on Tuesday and it was outstanding! I’m hoping to get pictures posted when I can get back on my PC, no luck downloading them from the iPad.
Sounds like you’re winding down. Glad your trip went well. We’re just winding up. Got it smoothly yesterday and went to Rackam’s for our “first-dinner-in-Cayman”. Today we’ll be diving (of course with Casey at Neptune’s).
I’ll get with a trip report as soon as I find my ambition. I think it got lost during our travel!
Have fun Sarge! We were right next door at Casanova’s last night!
Well let’s see if my PC can upload pictures…
Joe…is the size restriction something new? Should I download the pictures to Photobucket and do it that way? Every picture I have is 4,608×3,456
Back to the old way…
Leaving MIA and heading to paradise!
I see paradise!
Busy day in port
I think it was training day for the first officer as he definitely “stuck” the landing! There were actually a couple of small screams!
I was disappointed to see the “Band’s” gazebo was gone!
We stayed for “free” at the Marriott for two nights because we couldn’t get into the condo until Saturday. We’ve now stayed at the Ritz and Marriott and for my money a condo is the only way to go! Every time you turn around at a hotel you are tipping someone!
The Marriott has redesigned this property and it was very nice. The snorkeling at its artifical reef was pretty interesting and it gave us a new “look” on our morning beach walks. The hotel personnel were very accomodating and friendly and the food was pretty decent.
You can have the crowds!
And we were Happy to discover Cayman Lemonade – the official drink of GCM 2015!
Beach walk scenes…
My kind of private residence!
The Reef near the end of a cruise ship day
The signal for the first sunset – boat people heading out to sea!
Thanks for stopping by!
See you tomorrow!
So the first night ended with dinner at Casanova’s-by-the-Sea with our friend, the very talented and funny Eugenio Leon, harpist extraordinaire! The minute he comes to the table he plays Danny Boy for me! The food and staff at Casanova’s are exceptional!
They have copied the Wharf’s tarpon feeding and do it off the ironshore next to the deck. The little kids get a huge kick out of it.
I offered to stand and let Debbie sit but I was outvoted by Eugenio!
Friday morning and another beautiful day in paradise! I had a surprise set for Debbie after our morning walk – massages at the Le Mer Spa at the Marriott! It was wonderful after walking on a slant on the beach for two days.
Getting ready for some diving at the Cayman Beach Suites
Another private residence!
