    Hey corntobewild!

Long time no post dude! I hope to get the rest of the pics off the camera onto the computer tonight. We went digital underwater this year – so was a learning experience with the camera, but I think we did get some decent shots. Only one roll of film to develop from a disposable with flash we got from Cathy Church.

Nice to see you posting and looks like you’re travelling again soon, too.

Thanks Kay! It’s good to be back. With summer approaching, I always start to get in that “vacation mood” so thought I’d check in and see what was going on in the Caymans. Looks like the regulars are all still here and enjoying what Cayman has to offer. We’re going to California this year (I’ve never been there) and possibly planning a trip back to GC next summer again. I’m already getting excited about it and I have yet to plan all of our California trip! Yikes! Can’t wait to see the pictures Kay! Talk to you all later. :pirate:

Welcome back corntobewild – We missed you. I’m looking forward to getting together on your next vacation. ?

Part of the appeal of the Grandview/Treasure Island Condo area is it combines good snorkeling conditions with a huge white sand beach.

Here’s the pool/Jacuzzi area at Grandview, overlooking the ocean towards George Town where the cruise ships anchor.

This whole area is abundant in vast sandy beaches, shady trees and good snorkeling conditions.

Good to be back Joe. We’ll definitely have to get together the next time my wife and I visit the Grand Cayman. That picture of the path to cemetary beach brought back so many memories. We went snorkeling there the first day we arrived and my wife had a heck of a time walking down that sandy path. If you don’t remember, she uses a walker to get around because of her MS and the sand was so deep there that she couldn’t manage her way down that long path. After that, I just decided to carry her from the edge of the beach to the water so that we could snorkel together. It was a lot of work, but it we sure did get to do a lot of snorkeling….that’s why we love Cayman…..it has the best snorkeling around. :diving:

My God Joe your pics are unbelievable! What camera are you using? The things I have seen on this board have made really what to think about buying a time share in Grand Cayman. I don’t think I’ll be able to see and really experience all there is to do in the one week I’ll be there! ?

    I’m floored man just floored!!

Cubanpete – Welcome to our forum and thank you very much for your very kind comments. I use a Nikon D70s with a few different Nikon lenses. If you are interested in a timeshare let me know what part of the island and I will give you the contact information for one of my friends who can help you. ?

These were taken around the pool area at Treasure Islands condos. This is probably the largest and most elaborate pool of any condo on the island.

They even have a swim up snack/cocktail bar.

As if their incredible main pool wasn’t enough, they have a second – more private pool, beautifully designed and well landscaped.

Joe…we’re staying at Plantana starting 4/22. What’s the best place to snorkel at that end of SMB?

    Thanks! Your pictures are spectacular!
