If it’s a thong pic PLEASE post it!!! I will help you even. PM me. It’s very easy. Just click the image box and paste in the URL. Takes about 2 seconds.

In the past two trips we’ve made to Cayman, we’ve traveled with birth certificates AND our marriage license – since us ladies that changed our last names don’t have b.c.’s that match our I.D.’s. Wade & I got passports for this trip (can’t hurt – now we can go anywhere, anytime), but our friends decided just to go with birth certificates. Does anyone know if it’s really necessary for ladies to show proof of name with marriage licenses?

P.S. Celine – I’ll be taking that wine box tip…plus a few other things. I love the rum cakes so much that I need an extra suitcase just for those! AND last night, I opened up a bottle of Tortuga dark that we brought home last May…I had to smell it about a dozen times, b/c it SMELLS LIKE VACATION!!!! Am I sick or WHAT?

Does anyone think it’s a good idea to ship a goodie box to yourself before arrival???

    Things I wonder about….

Jen, We had no problems with birth certificates this year and I gave up on bringing our marriage certificate – I’ve been there enough I’m in the system. If your friends have it, it wouldn’t hurt to bring it along – it doesn’t take up much room ?

As for the rum – I’m with you. Nothing like the smell of rum, takes you back to paradise in one whif! I might have to crack a bottle tonight!!! ?

Do you mean ship a care package to Cayman or back home? I don’t know about shipping one down there, but I’d consider shipping a bunch of stuff back home…

    Thanks for the info, Kim.

I was thinking of sending one to Cayman for my trip, so I would have more room in the suitcase….

Birth Certificates are fine with a photo ID, but must they have the embossed seal on them. A plain photocopy is not acceptable.

    Jen,

If you travel often enough, why not get a passport…………never any trouble that way.

The “wine box” tip I cannot take credit for………..that was Nancy’s tip. :wine:

If I had known I wasn’t going down in March of this year, like last, I would’ve STOCKED up more on rum……..ENJOY!

If you mean Kirk’s supermarket – then I believe it has been refurbished and is open.

This forum is great. So positive! This is my first time posting to any kind of board. Hope I’m doing this right. We have been coming to Cayman since 1969 and keep a list of what to bring so that when we pack we don’t have to think too much about it. We always bring a beach bag, binoculars, camera, shirts for swimming so you don’t get too much sun, tennis racquets, sewing kit, a shell/coral book, water shoes, frisbee, blow up rafts for the water, night light ? Oh my gosh! I can just see you with groceries and bags all stuffed into your car…..I guess that’s what you have to do when you are staying on the East End. When we stay on 7 Mile Beach we are able to go to the condo and check in and then run out to the grocery store. But listen to this! We have worked out a really sweet deal!

You see, we now go with another couple every year…..we are old college friends who have now become fellow Cayman lovers and dive buddies for two glorious weeks each year. Well, for sure, we could never fit all four of us into the rental car with all of our bags, so guess what we now do? The wives take a cab to the condo with all of the bags, check in, walk over to Big Daddy’s to buy a big bottle of wine, come back to the condo….unpack, relax, whatever! :wine: In the meantime, the husbands pick up the rental car AND go to the grocery store on their way to the condo. None of our friends can believe how we could have ever talked them into this, but it sure works for us!! :spindance:
