That would be very disappointing Sarge!
Continuing with the adventure…Day 6
We decided to head to Cemetery Reef on Tuesday. It was pretty windy and choppy so it was hard to get decent pictures under the water. But everyone did see some spectacular fish – only I didn’t get any pictures of the “good” ones!
Beautiful start to the day!
An overnight visitor, have no clue where this came from!
Cheap attempt at a postcard
Off we go into Cemetery Reef!
A gaggle of snorkelers!
Looking south from the Cemetery Beach
Tuesday Sunset and a new addition to the restaurant rotation – Catch!
The food, the venue and Dannie our server were just outstanding at Catch! We had trigger fish, grouper, swordfish and seafood pasta. We passed around bites to one another and each meal was fantastic! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Day 7 – Sunset Sail with Neil Galway of Sunset Sail – Best day of the trip!
Great start to the day and afternoon refreshments at Tiki Beach

Hold her steady Gilligan!
A little help from the junior mate!

The smiles tell the whole story!!
We went to Morgan’s at the Yacht Club after the sail. We planned to have some appetizers and drinks and were very disappointed! The venue is outstanding but the menu selection was very limited and not very appealing. We had a couple of drinks and left. Don’t understand the fascination with chicken pate at all of the restaurants down there! Must be trying to clean up the stray chicken population! ?
Great start to Day 8!
Found the panorama setting!
We headed out on wave runners from the Avalon! It is pretty cool out there and the different shades of blue were spectacular!
Headed to Macabuca for lunch and back to Casanova’s for Kelly’s 18th Birthday celebration. Eugenio and the fella’s put on quite a birthday singing performance!
He had this woman from Canada in stitches!
The last full day and the realization that it is almost over! We had lunch at Coconut Joe’s and dinner at The Wharf.
The Little Dude’s new friend – Luigi! “You from Chicago? Maybe you know my uncle – Al Capone?” Funny guy and terrific waiter!
A wall of rays!
Last day visitor – must be an Irish lizard!
The final sunset of another outstanding trip!
The last dinner and final show…
“For your last night I will play you a song from my hometown in Paraguay!”
“Oh Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling…”
He is hilarious!
Reno explaining life to Kelly, now that she is 18!
It was Boogie Night at The Wharf. I don’t, can’t and usually won’t dance because I have no rythym. So I invented the two-finger dance on the beach during our trip in 2009. It is still popular today and I even had three other guys on the dance floor doing it during Stayin’ Alive as we exited across the dance floor at The Wharf!
The trip was a success!
Final beach walk and a new hobby!
So long favorite palm tree!
Pretty clever sand sculpture!
And my new hobby!
So to recap this wonderful trip…
Dinners at Casanova’s (2), Sunshine Grill, Duke’s, Catch and The Wharf.
Lunches at Veranda, Anchor & Den, Ortanique, Calypso Grill, Macabuca and Coconut Joe’s.
Breakfast at Eats Cafe.
Food and libations from Fosters, Blackbeards and Tortuga Fine Wine and Spirits and West Indies Wine Company.
Sunset Sail with Sail Cayman
And a ton of laughs, smiles, hugs, sunshine, perfect weather, good food and most importantly – Family!
Disappointed that we didn’t go to Rum Point, the Blowholes and Starfish Beach. So I guess we’ll have to stay two weeks the next time!
Now if I can only make a career out of building Coralmen to pay for four more days in paradise!!!
Thank you billinwilliamst! It is fun to put these trip reports together!
Nice report and great pictures Mike. Looks like you had a wonderful time.
