Some shots from the artificial reef in front of the Marriott. These are the poor man’s pictures, the real real pictures will come when Sarge posts his after a week of diving with a real camera!
Kind of looks like the aliens have landed and buried their pods underwater!
Kind of looks like the aliens have landed with their pods!
Nah, it’s not crowded here!
A nice touch from the Marriott staff – Cotton Candy for the kids! I wish I would have gotten the picture of the little girl that wanted to rinse her hands and face in the pool instead of the shower on the deck!
A very rare sighting of the Cayman walrus in his natural habitat along with a sighting in a controlled environment!
Marriott party animals! These people were out there all day – I hope they had SPF 70!
Friday sunset along with a visit to one of my favorite Cayman restaurants – the Sunshine Grill for fish tacos!
Bye-bye Marriott, we’re heading to The Avalon!
But first a stop at the airport to pickup the KC’s – Kenny, Kendell, Kelly and Kevin, aka the Little Dude. This was pretty funny! The flight was due in at 1:05. As I got to the observation deck at Owen Roberts an AA plane was just touching down at 1:00. So I take a couple of pictures to get ready of them deplaning when I hear “Hey, Uncle Mike!” I look to my right and there are Kendell and the Little Dude. Their plane had landed five minutes early and was at the opposite end of the tarmac! I thought it was an outbound AA!
So it was off to Fosters and Blackbeards to stock up and finally get settled in at the Avalon! Look how crowded it is – NOT!
OK, one selfie for the younger generation!
So it was time to relax, enjoy the beach, family and Cayman Lemonade along with a much anticipated week of fun!
The Little Dude was all in!
Debbie’s baby brother looks much taller in the water!
Saturday sunset, the North Star and a relaxing evening with Chef of the Future!
Sunday morning walk south from the Avalon and my favorite palm tree on the island!
Unusual to see cruise ships on Sunday
My new favorite beach toy in front of the Westin – a two-flat!
Interesting beach sculpture!
The Oscar Mayer Weinermoboat was back at the Ritz!
Not much to see in front of the Avalon…
Aren’t they cute!
Strange looking visitor!
Off to Duke’s Seafood and Ribshack!
We asked if they would seat him at another table!
What happeens in the Caymans…
Decided to head to town on Monday after the morning walk because it didn’t look like it would be filled with too many boat people.
The snob-a-lounger at the Ritz! Worst waste of $600 that I can think of!
My favorite palm tree!
My spot at the Avalon!
Definitely you Kenny!
My son’s inlaws bleed crimson as much, if not worse, than we do blue and gold! Of all things to have to see while on vacation Al the Elephant!
I should have bought all of them!
Looks like Atlantis Submarines needed a tow!
The closest we would get to stingrays on this trip.
Headed to Camana Bay for lunch…
The Little Dude finally got his lizard!
A new restaurant added to the GCM favorites – Ortanique! Great food and venue! The $5 Mojito Monday’s probably had no influence on this review!
Cool pics Mike.
I drowned my camera on the first dive with it. So we’re off to Cathy Church’s in the morning to see if they have a replacement. If not, yours might be all we get as far as pics go!
