So off Patrick and I went to the mini reef in front of Plantana…
Yo Jacques – where’s the Calypso???
I can never remember if this is a Blue Angel Fish or a Blue Tang. Whatever it is, it is pretty!
Did you get a picture of the sting ray that just went by???
Shannon missed her first connection at MIA due to bad weather at ORD – she was not happy! So we waited for her to arrive at 7pm with another spectacular sunset!
Should have sucked in the stomach there a little, sport!
Shannon arrived and off we went to The Wharf for a great dinner and to see our friends Reno & Eugenio!
Eugenio is one talented and funny human being!
Reno was sick this night but he set us up with a perfect table for the tarpon feeding!
Day 3 – The KC’s arrive
Debbie’s brother and part of his family are due in on Saturday. Patrick chips in and helps with breakfast.
The morning was perfect and off we went for the daily walking adventure. Patrick lets us know…”I love this place!”
Shannon joins in for the first time ever.
Oh no, did I forget sunscreen???
Some more Ritz toys and the newest monstrosity being built on SMB.
Someone said this is a private house! Nice life at the Turtle’s Nest Inn!
And the waves are beginning to swell…
Yessssssssssss! I’m a Status Member!
Second visitor of the trip hiding under my chair!
Patrick and I headed to town for some swim goggles for the pool and sea. Can you spell d-o-r-k??
Another visitor and some SMB scenes before heading to the airport for the next group of the Cayman Crew!
Is he green!
So it’s off to the airport to pickup the next batch of the Cayman Crew – the KC’s. Everyone in my BIL’s family has a first name starting with a K so it’s easier to refer to them as the KC’s.
With one excpetion…The Little Dude! God keep the Caymans safe!
Got the KC’s to Fosters and settled into their condo at Plantana before hitting the beach and liquid refreshments.
Can you believe we’re back Kendell?
Kenny gets some exercise with 12oz curls and walking uphill!
You can see how the waves are cutting into the beach in the picture above and causing some major erosion. It is usually very flat at this spot and not a place to sit!
Sunset deserves it’s own post!
Found a self-portrait setting on my new camera! I am easily amused!!
Wow, you are short!
Had our first BBQ of the trip for a nice, quiet night. The Little Dude was not in full “Go” mode…yet!
Day 4 – The Yates arrive
We are expecting some friends we made in 2009 on a visit to Plantana. Patrick & Kelly Yates along with their daughter & son (our new pretend grandkids!) Cecelia & Johnny. We had not seen them since the 2009 trip when Kelly was pregnant with Johnny.
I was up at 7am and the beach walk did not look promising! A north, south, east and west view.
But then 8:45am came! You’ve got to love this place! Don’t blink or you might miss a change in the weather! Something often said about Chicago weather!
My new friend that hung out on our door frame…Leapin’ Lenny the Lizard! Man he could fly!
