We are renting the Calypso Blue home on the Northside? has anyone stayed there? Is the beach nice there? Any good snorkeling nearby. My husband and I have traveled to several islands and they always advertise good snorkeling but normally thats not the case.

Actually the reef is pretty close to shore on the Northside, so the snorkeling is pretty good. I don't know exactly where that house is, but people on the board have talked about snorkeling from the Cayman Kai Beach or there abouts, going parallel to the shore up to Rum Point. I spoke to some people last winter who said they had seen lots of fish. There is a little inner reef parallel to the shore just past north of the beach. My son went out to the reef from the beach and said there was a sand bar out there and it was shallow. Sometimes there is a strong current going towards Rum Point, so you have to be careful of that, or just drift along with the current.
