We will be in Grand Cayman from 8/15-8/23 and will be staying at the Ritz. I’m wondering if anyone that has been/stayed there would like to share their thoughts on the staff, beach, pool area, restaurants, and the resorts proximity to other stuff.

    Many thanks in advance.

Hi, We will be staying at the Ritz Carlton. I believe it’s on 7 mile beach or close to it. How do I access Sting Ray City from there? Will Soto’s pick us up there or does the Ritz have their own tour providers to choose from?

This is our first trip to the Cayman Islands. I’ve just started researching activities, etc. Thank you for having this site available!

thanks for your information. We stayed at the Ritz in Montego Bay, Jamaica 2 years ago and loved the hotel and service.

I will check into the concierge when we get there. We will only be there for 5 days and 4 nights. Of course, we lose some of that time flying so it’s really only 3 complete days!!!! Bummer! But I went to Europe last year for 10 days so I’m not complaining.

I strongly encourage you to make your reservations directly with the local operations and avoid the use of concierges. Besides the advantages of getting to know the people you will be touring and dining with personally, most of the places we recommend offer special discounts for direct bookings, Soto’s Cruises included. 😉

I have made reservations for High Tea at the Ritz Carlton. Its kind of pricey, but we don’t have this at home, and since British culture is there I thought it would be fun. Has anyone had the tea service there? They have it daily from 2-4. Our reservation is on a Saturday. Thanks

    :palm:

We are having tea at the Ritz. Has anyone else done this? Looking forward to it. My cousin’s wife and I are going to it. Very much a girl thing. The pictures on the web site looks nice. Thanks

Are there ever any discounts/coupons for the Ritz Carlton?

Any other ways to get better rates than just booking through their website?

We are coming to GC for the first time at the end of June this year (wife has a conference at RC) We are going to have our kids (6 & 9) with us. Trying to decide if we will need a rental car or not. I am sure we will need to visit a grocery store and we will want to eat away from the Resort because of expense. We are not sure of the proximity of the hotel to restaurants, etc. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    hi jarrodhamil1

I would rent a car because it allows you the flexiblity to come and go as you please. If you need to run out for a thing or 2, it’s a lot easier when you have a car. I know our car sits for many days without being used, but when we use it, we are so glad that it’s there.

    Have a wonderful trip

Come to the Ritz! You two can pay over $700 per night to sit on top of the person in the lounge chair next to you! See our friendly sales agent in our booth!

Or you can find a nice condo and have the beach all to yourself!
