I found some info out on the forum and contacted celebrations. For what we want to do I cant see paying someone else to do it, not even the $1500 above and beyond the marriage license and officiant. Can anyone tell me if their is a beach next to the Wharf Restaurant. If so is it public and can you get married anywhere on a public beach? The reason I as about next to the Wharf is we would like to do dinner there, not really a reception just go and have dinner with ten to fifteen people, family and friends. I'm not trying to be cheap we just want to get married on the beach with no fluff or decorations. Were all about spending our money having a good time (diving, dancing, partying), not paying for a ceremony. Can anyone help me out with any info.

Thanks

BRAD

Brad, I am sure that you can do this,

You have to apply for a marriage license thru the Deputy Chief Secretary's office. (345-244-2222) I am sure that when you call for information for the license you can ask about an officiant and if you can just go anywhere on the beach for the ceremony. I fully understand the basis for why you want to do the ceremony the way you described. If no one else is going to be there, why go for all the fluff! I hope this helps. And congrats!

Thanks for the phone# and info. I thought I've read somewhere that you can get married anywhere on the public beach. The Wharf also emailed me back and said that if we do dinner there that we can utilize a piece of beach next to them. You don't by chance know what it looks like there? Thanks again.

BRAD

One of our moderators was married on that beach. (I was looking for her pictures, but I couldn't find them.) It is a nice place, big enuf for a good size wedding, and the sun will set in the background. My wife and I have eaten there many times, and have even seen several weddings while we've been there. They looked like wonderful occasions. I can't see you going wrong using it. And then afterwards, dinner will be just steps away!!

Here's my wife and I at the Wharf, with the beach in the background. In fact I think part of the wedding "stage" is over her shoulder...

Hope this helped...
