Some ideas for a fall parties, gatherings or even wedding - Shhh lets keep it amongst us!
Carve a hole in the top of mini-pumpkins to create festive votive candle holders. Apples can be used, but be sure they are very hard to the touch, not ripe.
For flower arrangements think mums, wheat stalks, twigs, hay and/or leaves. Group fall colored flowers together. Orange Gold Tans & Yellows or Black, burgundy and deep reds for a lasting effect.
Use decorative colored Leaves instead of rose petals.
Place corn stalk arrangements in corners, entrances, and even to cover pillars. Nuts, pinecones and dried porporrie make a nice autumn effect as well.
Hand-tied bouquets of mums encircled with wheat or raffia.
Fill glass vases with crabapples, cranberries, apples or pears.
Pumpkins : Some pattern ideas include stars doves monograms. Just print out the image from your computer and lay the image over pumpkin, use small stick pin and outline the letters. These are really unique pumpkin delight holders. Instead of cutting the top off, cut the bottom. The pumpkin will sit over the candle instead of the candle sitting inside the pumpkin. Small white or purple xmas style light bulbs can be used instead of candles as well.
Backdrop for head table maybe a harvest moon, stars. Use cheesecloth dyed black or kept white instead of tulle suspended from ceiling.
Maybe show a black and white horror move in the background.
Favors can have Candy corn or any variety of orange and black colored candy.
Torches and or Luminaries are a provocative way to light up a reception.
These ideas can add warmth and distinction to your day.
Any more ideas, Please post them here! |
