Just checked the weather.com sight and it shows partly cloudy and rainy over the next week. We are coming in 3/30 and was just curious how the weather really is there in the Grand Cayman Islands? Could you please help me out? Is it sunny and beautiful? Unlike the snow here in Denver?

Annie... not to nit pick, but Grand Cayman is just one of the Cayman Islands... The other two being Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.

Hi Annie - welcome to the forum and congrats on your upcoming trip to Grand Cayman! I can assure you that you will not encounter snow here in Cayman (watch I'll say that and some freakish storm will hit Rolling Eyes ) the closest to that cold white stuff you will find here is shaved ice in your tropical bevvie of choice Very Happy

After just returning from two glorious weeks on Grand Cayman, I just want to assure all of you that the LAST thing you need to worry about is the weather. Especially when you see that "partly cloudy" designation. See those clouds in the sky on the web cam at the Royal Palms today.....they could be calling that "partly cloudy".

Every day we bought a Cayman Compass newspaper and we enjoyed looking at the 5 day forecast in the paper. They deserve a prize for coming up with the most ways to say "partly cloudy". One day it is "more sun than clouds". Another day will be "more clouds than sun". Other day might say "mostly sunny". And another might say "mostly cloudy".

We had perfect weather with only a couple of brief bursts of rain lasting a total of 30 minutes in a two week period.

I looked at the weather report again and it shows rain showers in Grand Cayman Island-How is the weather and what are you hearing for weather starting the 30th when we arrive? Look foward to hearing from you-Thanks, Annie

I spoke (IM) with a friend on the island this morning. She said it was a beautiful sunny day, and even on North Side, the sea was smooth as glass!

Are you looking at the live webcam at the top of the page -- the Royal Palms webcam? There's hardly a cloud in the sky.....it looks gorgeous.

I just came back from two weeks vacation in Cayman where we had a total of about 30 minutes of rain. I have watched this web cam every day since I came back (two weeks ago) and I don't think they've had anything but sunny, perfect weather each day since I've been back. So that's four straight weeks of sunshine that I know of.

No one can predict the weather anywhere for six days away with much certainty, but please don't worry about the weather in Cayman next week. They seem to be having a very nice stretch of good weather lately.....besides, Cayman is where you go to leave your worries behind. Laughing

I guess I never realized that or read that that was a Live webcam-the picture always looked the same to me at first glance.........blue skies. Thanks for directing me........Now I will know where to actually see the weather. Thanks, Annie spin

That beautiful weather may be the calm before the storm. I think there may be a Nor'Wester headed our way. Shock

I think part of it is here at the moment, a bit breezy and wild and woolly out at the moment, not too bad but I believe cruise ships are docking in my front yard today so that means the west is too rough!

yes, pretty breezy with fairly rough water along SMB. up until yesterday afternoon, nothing but calm sea & blue sky since our arrival last Saturday.

no rain (yet!) and nice & warm. a great day for sightseeing/shopping before we have to say good-bye and return to the US tomorrow.
