Hi everyone! I'm new here and this has been a great source of info!!!

I'm thinking of what I'll need to pack for my 1-year-old for our trip next March. It will be winter and very cold where I live, so I need to buy her "beach" clothes now. I see that it averages around 78-82 degrees in March, but since GC is near the equator, I assume it will still be really hot?? (I've never been to the carribean before.)

Do I need to pack her t-shirts and long pants? Or tank tops and shorts? Any advice?

How about t-shirts and shorts?!

Bring one pair of long pants for her. I always pack at least 1 pair of jeans/khakis/pants...Spring, Summer or Winter.

Pack shorts, short-sleeved t-shirts and tank tops for her.

I've been in Cayman in late February/early March...was just lovely. Perfect weather...when the "Nor'easters" come, adds cooler winds, but mostly absolutely heavenly weather.

Hope that helps!

Salann

We've been bringing both our kids down in February/March since they were infants and I can't recall ever seeing them in long pants except for when they've stepped off the plane. I can't remember it going below 75 during that time frame in the past six years?? If you bring a warm pull-over in case the wind is blowing in the evening you should be all set. Enjoy and don't forget to cover the little ones in sunscreen and give them lots of liquids!

Russell, Congrats on the trip, I am sure it is just what the Dr. ordered. I wouldn't worry too much about the 60% chance of rain, you may get showers on and off all week but they tend to come and go so quickly. I worried the first time we went as well and even though we tend to go during the rainy season, the showers don't last long at all. Where are you guys staying and what do you plan on doing while you are there? Just curious. Have a great time and please don't forget to write a trip report when you return.

Don't worry! Cayman has only had about 2" of rain this year, so chances of your getting rained out are slim to none.

We're headed out in 5 hours ourselves.

Welcome mwne2nks - The current weather conditions are scrolling across the top of this page and updated every 2 hours, along with the satellite images. It is highly unlikely that you will experience any sustained adverse weather conditions in March/April.
