Hello all,
Before I get started I would like to extend my appreciation for the many great people on here that seem to truly love Cayman...

My wife and I visited about 5 years ago and have not been able to return until this coming May 1-8. We are staying at the Reef Resort on the East End (we stayed there last time and were very pleased). We got a really good deal since a good friend owns there.

We have some friends coming along (6 of us total) and my main question is which would be the best/affordable fishing charter for deep sea fishing, probably a half-day. We went out last trip and did catch a couple really nice Mahi Mahi..but had real safety issues, boat broke down, had no working radio...finally had to help the guy fix the boat and made it back to shore...with some argument got most of our money back..We just don't want to experience this again

So if anyone knows the best charter/location and which days are best..I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum rufn918 Smile,

Thanks for your nice comments about this forum. It really is a fun place to hang out for those of us who love the Cayman Islands, and we love to share what we know with others.

We recommend Oh Boy Charters for deep sea fishing, and you can read about them here

Sounds like you had a terrible experience with the outfit that you went with before. I'm sure you'll have a completely different outcome with a company like Oh Boy.

Good luck with your planning (not to mention the fishing!)
