Deep See Cayman
Explore depths beyond your wildest dreams...

For about the same price as a luxury yacht tour, you can now also see some of the most amazing denizens of the sea along the way. The submarine pilot that helped film David Attenborough’s “The Blue Planet” provides one of the most innovative and unique experiences ever to be available in the Cayman Islands. Their spacious, state of the art boat “Deep Seeker” is a 41 foot luxury yacht with full facilities and complete upscale amenities. They provide cold beverages and snacks with no corkage fee and you are free to bring along your own favorite drinks and snacks.

The tour takes you on a magnificent journey to view the deep dark depths of the Cayman Trench and the extraordinary animals that live there—illuminated brilliantly by thousands of watts of power through miles of fiber optic cables. Deep See Cayman employs a remote submersible to relay real time high definition images of all the action from over 2,000 feet below to flat screen television monitors where you watch and learn in the comfort of a luxury yacht. The 41 foot yacht is a slick Euro style cruiser and one of the most stylish yachts of her size—both inside and out.

They offer several HD monitors throughout the yacht and comfortable couches on the upper deck You can also experience the ROV’s exploration while sunbathing comfortably on the foredeck on cozy sun pads. High Definition monitors specially designed for bright outdoor viewing provide breathtaking real time images even as you bask in the sun!

Thousands of feet below the surface lurk countless unimaginable creatures ranging from the tiniest nudibranch to beasts of monstrous proportions; many undocumented and never before seen, they provide opportunities for every occupant to be the very first to spot a completely new species.

Living their entire lives in pitch black under tremendous amounts of pressure, the denizens of such extreme areas are without a doubt the most unusual creatures on the face of the planet. In utter darkness, extreme creatures have evolved two primary means of survival: one being bioluminescence, where they are capable of generating their own light to spot and capture prey; and the other complete or partial transparency as a means of disguise—such as the famous creature with the transparent brain also making it easier for it to spot its prey.

With so little prey, evolution has lead to some of the most creative survival advantages on earth, which present themselves as the most intriguing and utterly captivating live imagery you will ever encounter!

Deep See Cayman will easily be the most breathtaking and high tech educational tour of your entire vacation, providing lasting memories and for many, an insight into the fascinating study of extreme life forms.

This looks really, REALLY cool!

Looks sort of like what they used to explore the Titanic.

This is going directly to my must do list for my next trip.

I took the 1000 foot dive on Atlantis some years back and that was great but this is just out of this world!

Does anyone know what that fish like thing without a tail is? Anymore pics Joe???

This will be the first thing we do next trip in a few months, even added it to my must do list just to make sure. Been to Cayman dozens of times over the last ten years, and never even thought of the possibilities something like this could have for discovering new and extreme sea life living under the highest underwater mountain range in the world!

Very nice looking boat too, a real class act!

JKman - I have no idea what species or even family most of these creatures are; and I am a student of marine taxonomy!

With my aging memory and a little help from Google I was able to retrieve the basic taxonomic levels:
• Kingdom
• Phylum
• Class
• Order
• Family
• Genus
• Species

The kingdom for free swimming vertebrates is Protista and I believe the phylum is Chordata for most of the images I have posted. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

idea Maybe someone can list the names for class through genus or species.

Here’s another fascinating vertebrate image courtesy of Deep See:

When you take a tour with Deep See you can literally define your own species of creatures that you find in the great depths of the Cayman trenches. Nothing before has ever come close to this type of activity and cruising around on their beautiful luxury yacht alone is well worth the cost.

You can view more images at our Deep See Cayman page.

Deep Sea. This was VERY COOL! Saw some of the strangest looking things in my life, never even knew existed, miles below the surface. This was almost a tie with stingray city for fun factor.
