kptoys,

We are getting car seats for our boys on our upcoming trip. They are going to be 3.5 and 2 when we get there. I will let you know how they are once we return. I probably won't have any info on the booster seats. Maybe when Caymantwins returns from her trip she can fill you in on what they did.

Allison

PS Remind me if I forget this upon my return.

I'm sure Caymantwins will fill you in when she comes back, but I thought I'd share since I think I remember her saying she wouldn't be lugging the girls' carseats this year.

I won't speak for her, but I used my daughter's car seat on the plane and then in the rental car when we arrived when she was small. It was a pain lugging so much stuff when she was small, but we didn't really take that many plane trips when our kids were that little.

What company are you renting from?

We rented from a non cag recommended place.

The baby car seat was available but the booster seats were all out. Rolling Eyes

The condition of the seats were fair.

Thanks, do you remember the brand of the seats? Would I be better off lugging my car seats down for the kids so I know they are safe and secure?

I think if I were you, I would contact the company,

find out what brand, year , etc. Smile

Then reserve them, so they are there when you get there!! Very Happy

I dont remember the brand, it wasn't what we have at home.........

but it wasn't something I have never heard of either Confused

If you are going at a busy time, I would reserve the car seats now. When our grandkids came down I rented them at the same time I did the car--probably 10 months in advance.

Are you going over a holiday time? I was able to reserve for next December-January, but if my dates had been just certain dates over christmas vacation, then the prices don't come up. So if you are going then, you'll have to email, or call them.

Actually I just went online and checked and wasn't able to get a rate for the whole winter, but could get one for May 2008. So I think you'll have to call or email them

Shelly :-)

kptoys,

We just got back and I wanted to fill you in on the car seat situation. We rented two cars from Andy's. When we got there, they weren't quite ready for us. The manager was going to get the seats. When she got back she had two new boxes! I don't know if they don't get requests that often, or if they were just short. My 3.5 year old got a new Graco booster seat. The 2 year old was in a Cosco seat. They didn't seem confident on installing them, so I offered to do it. At least then I knew it was done safely. It worked out well. I can't imagine bringing our seats and hauling them around the airports.
