Hi, there. We are traveling to Cayman next weekend...my husband and I, our 3 month daughter and our two mothers. We'd like to take our mother's on a stingray city tour while down there. Even though my husband and I were there last year, we hate the thought of either of us missing it to stay back with our daughter. Would it be possible to take her along and each of us switch out times on the boat with her? Are there any tours that you know for a fact have a shaded area to sit on the boat on deck?

If I am being ridiculous to even think it feasible to bring our daughter, please let me know that as well! :-) I'm not sure I am comfortable leaving her with a sitter, either. We're in a different country and out on a boat...call me crazy but I'd be nervous the whole time and not enjoy it at all.
Thank you so much.

I'm no expert. In fact, a Cayman newbie Jump

But I've spent so much time here last few weeks reading all the topics, photos, videos... I'm feeling like I've spent half my life in the Caymans! Jump

Your question is an easy one though, so I think I can answer it. There is the place called SOTOS. You will find the pictures, AND THE VIDEO, all in the Stingray City area. They get all the best reviews from so many people, everyone here loves them. Best part - NO CROWDS. Oh, and YES, PLENTY OF SHADE. Lots of pictures of their big boat in the topics, AND IN THE VIDEO!

There is the discount too, I think. Just find their topic, go to website, make reservation, click the Activity Guide. I checked other places and no one else even comes close. They all charge more, take along a pack of cruise ship passengers, use big smelly busses, have lots of accidents! Shock NO PERSONAL CARE! idea You getting the idea.

I hope I helped!

The other really cool thing you can do here is click the MUST DO button EVERY TIME you find anything that looks good. Then just click the PRINT, when you are ready to go. Bring it with you as a reminder. That's really all there is to it. Then go and have FUN! Cheers

I was also thinking Sotos, but wasn't sure if they had more than one boat that is shown in the pictures. I will check with them to see if there is an age limit, and if it would be OK to "switch" off like we are thinking.
Thank you so much!

Just got confirmation from Sotos that we can take the baby and there will be shade. They even said we could bring her stroller on board if we wanted. Not sure i we will do that, but we'll see. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum twirler 3248 Smile ,

Glad you checked with Soto's. It doesn't surprise me one bit that they are ok with you bringing the baby and even the stroller. I actually think that's a great idea and it should work just fine if you want to bring it.

Don't forget that in order to get the good price with Soto's, you have to pay in cash or traveler's check. No credit cards.

Have a blast!

Char
