Welcome to the forum, Tonyauz Smile ,

Sorry that no one has answered your question yet......somehow it got missed.

First of all, are you visiting Grand Cayman by cruise ship? It sounds as if you are, but just wanted to be sure. If so, how much time will you have on the island? When is your ship scheduled to dock and to leave? That will also help us advise you on how much you can do in a day.....

We highly recommend Soto's Cruises for an inexpensive ($30 US for adults) and excellent trip to Sting Ray City. They usually don't take more than 20 people at a time, so it's very possible that your family of 8 may practically have the boat to yourselves. By the way, Soto's charges even less for children ($25 for ages 4 to 11, and free for under 4). Anyway, their boat is pretty fast, so you can complete a two stop snorkel trip with plenty of time to play with the Sting Rays in just two hours. They will provide transportation from the dock, and will drop you off at one of a couple of different locations afterwards if you want to do more snorkeling along 7 Mile Beach......The morning trip is from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., so that should leave plenty of time for lunch and some more snorkeling.

Unfortunately, Hell is a little bit too far away for Soto's to take you to afterwards.

Maybe you should have Soto's drop you off at Comfort Suites, which allows you to use their pool and facilities if you buy food and/or drink at their outside restaurant, called Stinger's. There is a small shop for Don Foster's right there that might rent you snorkel gear.....if not, you can rent some next door at the Marriott Beach Resort. Great snorkeling just off the beach at Comfort Suites.....

I'm still struggling with fitting a trip to Hell into your schedule. You'd almost have to take a cab up there and then back down to the port to get back to your ship, but that might be a little costly for your large family....maybe Joe has an idea.

Hope I have helped and not confused....

Char

are you coming on ship? if not where staying. Spanish Bay reef works with the cruise ships, They offer snorkeling, swimming, and have bikes to ride. People staying there are able to bike to hell from there, but if on ship would be hard to get it all done, also do arrange a stingray tour, but it is not Sotos, which is the much preferred one from those most knowledgable. We used the tour it was fine, but on a weekend.. It is 3 hours, and by the time they pick you up and deliver you back, not much time for other activities.
