Snorkeled the wreck of the Cali yesterday. Lots of fun. Be sure to go when the cruise ships are not in town. You can enter the water from a ladder near Rackam's Bar. Lots of tarpon under a nearby boat.

Is there a convenient place to park in Georgetown that would allow us to walk to the Cali and the Gamma? rolllaugh

Thanks!

For the wreck of the Cali, you have to park right along the street. Not so easy. For the Gamma, I park in the parking lot of The Warf restaurant.

Snorkel Cool

Amy,

I finally did Cheeseburger Reef on the last day I was on Grand Cayman. You have to do it when the Cruse ships are not in port or it is much too crowded. It is straight our from Burger King at the yellow bouy. It was very good. Saw 3 Queen Anglefish, probably the most beautiful Caribbean fish. Did not see any of them anywhere else. Reef is large and a great snorkel. Park between Burger King and the Glass Store on the South. Go in, easy entry, on the south side of the glass store. You will be glad you did.

Gary Very Happy

Are there any new ratings, these are old being 2005. We'll be visiting early,mid-Dec. 2009 and would like to know the current status of walk in sites in Georgetown: Eden Rock, Wreck of Cali, Cheeseburger, Wreck of Gamma. How much further from Wreck of Gamma to Cemetery Beach mileage wise? How alive are these coral formations? Our favorite snorkeling is shallow 5-20' waters, thru corals & sea fans, with lots of brilliant tropical fish, all shapes & sizes.

Great info in these older posts. We will be in Georgetown early, mid-Dec. 2009 and want to check out the local walk-in snorkel spots. Any new reports on quality of snorkeling and condition of coral at Cali & Cheeseburger? What about Gamma and Eden Rock? Does Eden Rock, Cali, Cheeseburger and/or Gamma get that crowded when cruise ships come in?
