oh no---is that the beginning of the end for the Brac? I remember when there was one cruise ship a week in Grand Cayman--imagine that? You could just drive through town--no street lights and hardly any pedestrians.

There was a ship scheduled to come here today! I didn't see it, but was told it was a large sailing vessel. Must have been something like the Windjammer Cruises' ships. Anyway, the seas were too rough to get anyone off and on safely (again I'm guessing), so it went on it's way to ??????

They say that garlic keeps vampires at bay.... is there anything that works for cruise ships? bigun

lots of bad weather! I had to close the windows and turn off the fans this morning---a little bit nippy (for Cayman anyway)

The seas were definitely too rough for offloading passengers from the cruise ship! Here's a shot in front of my place and a night shot of the dock where the tourists would have come ashore.

And it's COLD here this morning...... 70 degrees!!!

Nice pictures Brakker---I tried to get a good shot of the waves on the northside, but it didn't look nearly as good as yours

Hi Brakker1

Great Pics!!! Always enjoy your pictures of the Brac. I hear Aunt Shaws has moved Where did they relocate too. We will be down in 8 weeks and they are basically my favorite place to eat along with the Jerk chicken at Esperanza.

Thanks again for the pics

Swanny

Hi, swanny!

They are now in a small place on the north side, just a little east of the west end post office. You might also want to try the jerk chicken at Catboat Plaza, which is on the same side, but further east. They serve on Friday and Saturday evenings. I get the take out because they don't have the waterfront dining.

I wouldnt get too excited here. If it is a Windjammer sailing ship like Brakker says, they focus on small out of the way ports and are generally looking for what Cayman Brac has to offer. They generally have around 100 people and very their routes and destinations

Just my thoughts. God I can't waite to retire and dive the Brac and Little Cayman everyday. I am buried today at work and now have to get back at it. See Ya, Swanny
