Friday Night Happy Hour at The Wharf

Every Friday night, The Wharf offers one of the most extravagant and lavish happy hours on the island.

Considering the quantity and diversity of delicious Caribbean food they offer, the term ?Happy Hour? hardly does them justice. Help yourself to FREE all-you-can-eat Conch Frittes, Jerk Chicken, European Cheese, Fried Chicken, Quesadillas and assorted vegetables. Only the most enthusiastic of eaters will want a complete dinner after a trip or two to the buffet, so this is in essence a delicious free meal set in one of the most enjoyable and picturesque surroundings imaginable.

They keep the buffet full from 5-7pm.

At 8:00pm the band begins to liven things up playing all of your favorite Caribbean and tropical-flavored party songs. Locally famous acts such as Footloose perform from 8:00pm ? midnight, making this one of the few places where you can dance under the stars to live music by the sea.

At 9:00pm the bell rings to announce the feeding time for up to 70 giant Tarpon whose antics will entertain and amuse you.

Whether you come for the delicious free food, the dancing, the scenery, the live music, the romance, or to meet new friends The Wharf Happy Hour is THE place to be on Friday nights!

I noticed no one commented on the panoramic picture of the bar and snack area. Does the sunset background look fake? I am not prodding for compliments - that is the picture I plan to use in the next issue and a little feedback would be helpful. Wink

well..........that's YOUR fault.....the second photo showed all that yummy food and looking at it took our minds off the FIRST photo!

Actually, no, I don't think it looks fake.........when I stick my nose practically against the screen..........it STILL looks good! So, is the sunset and that first row of people fake....or what?

Hope you are also going to put in the food photo!

dine

Thanks Celine - The people are not fake and that's what made the shot so difficult. It was way too busy to set up extra lighting and screens so I had to work with what I had. I tried to capture the sunset glow but for that amount of ambient light needed to shoot prior to the actual sunset. The sky background is mostly overlay CGI.

Those are GREAT photos. You know I have been away from computer as no mouthy replys.

I will be sure to hit this happy hour. I love the Wharf. Glad to see so many happy faces in the crowd.

My count down is decreasing. I have packed one bag and am getting ready to pack my gear.

ARGGGGGGG
