Just got this email today concerning the BBQ Buffet:

Hello Again,
We just rec'd this e-mail & went to check with the grill on
their offers. The BBQ Buffet is on Thursday nights from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. It is all you can eat with lots of yummy
desserts. The cost in US is $31.19/CI $24.95 & this does
not include tip. According to the grill manager, there are no
discounts for the BBQ.

We just came back from CI (we were there 1/10 -1/17 2009) and went to the Sunshine Suites Thursday for the buffet and they no longer offer the buffet. It was stopped over 3 months ago and this Activity Guide is NOT updated as regularly as it should. A major disappointment.

Not sure if your "major disappointment" was in not having the BBQ, or that the Activity Guide isn't as updated as you would like it to be.

The BBQ couldn't have been discontinued 3 months ago, since Papa Smoke received an e-mail from them on Nov. 12th giving all the details of the BBQ.

Anyway, in my opinion, if something like this changes with one of the advertisers, I think that it's their job to update Joe. He couldn't possibly check in with every single one of his advertisers each and every month to see if anything has changed. In fact, Sunshine Suites hasn't even updated their own website.....they are still advertising the BBQ.

It is very helpful, though, when you bring something like this to Joe's attention, so that he can check it out. Sometimes, that's the only way he would know.

Glad some of the other recommendations that you got here did work out ok for you. Looking forward to more of your trip report when you have the time.

One of the highlights of last year's trip was meeting the Tobin family from Boston. We were all down together again this year. We did meet some new friends on this trip - The Yates family from Ft. Wayne - Patrick, Kelly, Cecilia and a player to be named later!! Kelly is due in eight weeks and we all became fast friends! That's the "other" Patrick in the green shirt.

The Yates turned us on to our latest "favorite" restaurant - The Sunshine Suites Grill - but it's a secret so none of you go there!!

I loved the name of the fan company in the grill!!!
