Cat Stevens converted to Islam, and changed his name to (I think) Yusaf Islam. He no longer performs and he may have sold or renounced his catlaog of music. I seem to recall he recently had some travel/ immigration issues when trying to fly from Europe to US and the flight was diverted because he is on a watch list.

I too enjoyed some of his music from the early 1970's. Never hear him on the radio anymore.

jpep.......Yep, I heard, thanks........I was just saying whatever happened THERE? Meaning I was surprised, not unclear of his new direction. Sorry for the misunderstanding, but thanks for the info anyway. I do love his early music......hubby used to play and sing his songs to me when we were dating........that and the Beatles and Dylan's songs and I was hooked! :-D

I too like Dylan, the Beatles and Cat Stevens. In fact, watched Part I of the PBS American Masters special on TV last night on Dylan that was directed by Martin Scorcese. Part II tonight.

You indicated your husband used to serenade you with those songs.......... sounds like he no longer does. Guess you are going to have to have him tune up the guitar and pick up where he left off.... Wink
