Hello

I am a Newbie. First of all I would like to tell you all what a great site this. Just by browsing through this site has given me so much knowledge on the Caymans

My wife, myself, and two children, ages 12 and 16, are planning a possible Cayman Island trip this June. We plan on vacationing from June 4the - 11the.

So far we have narrowed our places to stay at Grand Cayman Island Beach Resort ,Comfort Suites, and the Turtle Nest Inn. This will be our 2nd trip to the Caribbean. Could you please tell me which one of these resorts are better than the others? Does anybody have any other suggestions on where to stay at the Caymans?

While we are there we are planning on going to Rum Point,Stingray City,Turtle Farm.Butterfly Gardens ,and maybe some other attractions. We also plan on snorkeling on our own, shopping, and other site seeing.

I also might do some fishing from shore while there. Are there any restrictions on where to fish and can I rent fishing rods while I am there? I plan on packing a small tackle box with me if I decide to do any fishing there.

Thank you

Rick

I am not sure about fishing but we stay on the East End at Morritt's Tortuga. It is nice and quiet and not much going on. That end of the island is pretty quiet. We just got back lat night from our week in Paradise.

WELCOME Ganina! Can't speak for the resorts, because haven't stayed at any of them but the activites you are interested in doing are all our favorites........did you check out Boatswains Beach video of Joe's....the new name of the Turtle Farm.......think you could easily spend the entire day there! Also, we COMPLETELY loved the Butterfly Farm......a butterfly landed on my hand and I just couldn't believe it......how cool! Rum Point is great for taking a book, parking yourself in a hammock and the food there is pretty good.........Stingray City is a must, of course, and totally AWESOME........so amazing that such a creature can be so soft, gentle and playful.

Anyway......you're in for the time of your life! Don't forget to print out coupons from this site, or pick up Activity Guide as soon as you clear customs.......they'll be on your right, just before you hit the baggage area.
