All incluseves besides Spanish Bay?

Hello all,

My fiance and I are taking a family vacation with our combined children and neither of us has been to the Caymans and have always wanted to come. We got a great fare from South FL and are coming on July 14 for a five night stay. spin

We have three combined children (16, 11, 10) and a niece and teenage friend for a total of 7 people. Were looking at a few options but these kids can really put down the food Rolling Eyes

and we have done all inclusive stays before that worked out great.

We would have to get 2 rooms, preferrably adjoining or across the hall or were investigating a 3BR condo somewhere (if no reasonable all inclusives) so any recommendations that way would be greatly appreciated.

Are there any other options near 7 mile beach besides Spanish Bay to choose from, I heard great things about Spanish Bay but apparently it's closed the day after we arrive Confused

I will post other questions in the appropriate forum sections. I have used discussion forums before and have always found them invaluable, glad I stumbled acrosst this one last night. It appears to be the premier site.

You don't have much time to find a place to stay! A 3 BR condo that is highly recommended by this site is the Meridian. It is very upscale. There are many others as well...check out the thread with the hotel search. I think this is the link:

I don't know of any all-inclusives except for the one that's closing but I may be wrong. One of the main reasons for lack of all-inclusives is the wealth and excellence of the restaurants. Another reason is, unlike some of the poorer Caribbean islands where tourists are basically relegated to the resort for safety reasons, Grand Cayman is just .... different. The island is safe, the standard of living is high. You have the freedom to explore the entire island which is not conducive to all-inclusives. I agree, though, that feeding 7 people is cost prohibitive as restaurants can be somewhat pricy. Pay attention to the coupons the Activity Guide has and the check the food section on this site. Renting a condo would be your best bet I think.

I arrive the same day you do! We will stay for 7 nights at a condo on the East End part of GC. If interested you are welcome to stop and check out "my" laid back part of Grand Cayman!

If I recall correctly, we only found 2 all inclusives when we were looking to book our trip. The Spanish Bay, and it's "sister resort" - the Beach Colony Club or Beach Club Colony ( I forget which). The BCC is situated near the middle of 7 mile beach, & is on the beach.

We exercised the "sister visit" option a couple of times, and the lunch fare was the same as Spanish Bay's.

I can't comment on the all inclusives. If you want to go the 3BR route, Treasure Island is a really good value. I believe all the 3BR units are ocean front. There is a full kitchen and a grill, so you could save some by eating in. You can book with a discount through this site. I booked with someone privately before I knew this existed!
