The Hyatt Beach Suites are one of the most lavish and upscale properties on the entire island and you will now receive a discount when you stay there, for being a member of this message board. This is a unique opportunity to experience this remarkable property free of crowds while their main resort is closed for remodeling. They offer spacious ocean-front rooms with complete amenities and some of the very best restaurants on the island. Rooms start at around $400/night.

Use our Hotel Search feature for a personal rate quote with your Activity Guide discount. This may not be combined with any other offers.

My husband and I stayed there last year with another couple and three children and we paid more like $800 a night. It was two rooms and beautiful, but not $400 a night. That must be for a smaller unit. The Hyatt Beach Suites are one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed.

Thanks for the report. You mentioned some info about the main Hyatt building being under construction, which I knew, but I'm set to stay at the Hyatt beach-side beginning 4/18. Any thoughts on the conditions there?

The Hyatt Ocean Front Suites are in immaculate condition with full Hyatt amenities, less any crowds. This is one of the finest and most upscale properties on the island. Their season specials start in April so you will be able to get a nice rate for the 18th. You will love it and never want to leave. Very Happy Be sure to try both of their restaurants Hemingways and Bamboo, both are spectacular and Bamboo has live jazz on Saturday evenings. If you go there tell sushi chef "Kaz" Joe and Peggy sent you - He'll make you something special. Wink

Hyatt Beach Suites better now than ever due to the fact that with the main building not open the beach is less congested!

Hi Joe,

I'm considering one of these Beach Suites for early December. I was looking at the resort photos on Hyatt's website, trying to decide where the best room location would be with regard to ocean view. It looks like most of the suites are not directly facing the ocean (except for the really expensive 2 bedroom suites at the end of the building), but are facing the courtyard and pool area. The ocean view is to the side. Any thoughts as to which rooms may have the best unobstructed ocean view? Also, it looks like some rooms have small step out balconies and some have larger balconies with tables and chairs. I guess you request your preference?

Thanks for any input you can give me!

Mike

Hi Heymikey - Welcome to the forum. Very Happy

You are going to love the Hyatt Beach Suites, they are all amazing. Except for the 2-room suites they are all exactly the same as far as floor plan/ocean views. There is no such thing as a bad room at the Hyatt Beach Suites, that is probably my favorite property on the island. Wink

Thanks for the deal, it just came through. Cheers I'll be there in September barring any hurricanes! Never seen a site quite like this before, actually quite impressive. Parrot

During our 1st trip to GC we stayed at the Hyatt in the Regency Club. This was well prior to ground was broken for the Beach Suites. We absolutley loved the Hyatt & GC. Have returned annually with family memebrs in tow, thus needing to rent SMB beachfront condos...which we did last March (post Ivan) and will do again March 2006. In the meantime, I have just convinced my husband we need a break this Fall. He nixed Ireland, Provence, LaCosta, Paris, Venice, Napa, but immediately became thrilled about going to GC:) GC is our favorite spot to relax & regroup, and just being the 2 of us this time, without the need for in unit washer/dryer, several bedrooms & bathrooms, etc. have decided to stay at the Hyatt Beach Suites. This will be our 1st time on SMB in October rather than mid to late March, but have all fingers & toes crossed for NO hurricane! I know that once we arrive IF a storm does impact GC we will still be safe & happy at the Hyatt Beach Suites!!! Great location & lovely property.
