[B]

Hello Everyone,

Can I get some opinions from all of you seasoned Camanians and/or property owners regarding where the best locations are on Grand Cayman to own/purchase real estate for investment purposes?

More specifically, here are my goals with an investment property:

1. Purchase property (home or condo) to either long-term rent or rent out as a vacation rental property.

2. Ocean/beachfront location.

3. Consistent demand area for travelers

Here is an added twist:

Best vacation rental location aside, which areas on the island are special/cool/the place to be/intimate/etc? I realize they may overlap with my main question, however.

I would much appreciate any advice. I am torn between having a purely financial viewpoint of a purchase and having a place that I LOVE myself.

Thank you so much!

I'm sure there are many real estate agents willing to chat, but usually with strings attached...

Thanks for the names though!

Hi kdunk - There are no strings. I have known Bill Baldwin for almost 10 years and he is one of my closest friends. I personally vouch for his credibility, knowledge, honesty and integrity. You will not find anyone more qualified, affable and eager to work in the buyer's best interest than Bill.

To the people who sent me PMs, I have forwarded your information to Bill and given him PM access to anyone who posts in this forum.

You can get a mortgage from Caymanian banks but it will be cheaper for you to take out a mortgage over here, especially with the interest rates as low as they are at the moment.

If you contact a bank in Cayman they will advice you of rates, etc. plus tell you about all the due diligence required for opening a bank account. The purchasing of a property is quiet and easy process.

Good Luck
