This may be a very dumb question, but I don't know the answer! We've never been to Grand Cayman before...will our debit cards work there just like at home?

Thanks!

Debra

If you use the Cayman Nation Bank's ATM's , you will have no problems. They are all over the island (except North Side Confused 0).

If it carries a Visa or MC logo, no problem. The merchant will treat it like a credit card, and you will probably have to sign.

Just make sure that you let the bank that issued the card know where/when you will be traveling. I forgot one year and the card number was invalidated when I made my first purchase on the Island. I called the bank then but it was too late and I spent 2 weeks with no access to my checking account funds.

And would you believe..... after being on the Brac for about a year, National City Bank started charging me 2% on every purchase? "International fee", they said. "No thanks", says I. Up yours, NCB!
