Hi everyone! First time cruise this October with my family and we are looking for something to do. We'll also be making a port call in Cozumel and our two older children have choosen an excursion in Cozumel. Needless to say with 3 kids, we want to keep our excursions to a minimum price to fit in our cruise budget. We're looking to spend a day at the beach. My husband's not real big on snorkeling but I love it. My older two children will enjoy it as well, I think! Smile They are 11 and 8. We're also traveling with our youngest child who will be 22 months at the time. Any suggestions to beaches that are kid friendly, have good snorkeling and have activites suitable for the 22 month old? Maybe a playground? Also needs to be close to cheap food! Smile Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

Thanks,
Melissa

Hi teddysgirl2 and welcome to the forum!

If this is your first visit to Grand Cayman I would recommend a trip to Sting Ray City with Soto Tours, beside being much less expensive than trips booked thru the cruise line Soto's is a company I've used many times. They stop 2 times, first in about 20' of water and that is the snorkle spot, then off to the sandbar which is about 4' deep and you get to get out of the boat and feed and pet and swim with the stingrays, truly a unique experience!

you can get all the information on Soto's and on Sting Ray City on this forum unfortunately I am not computer literate enough to add links here

Just wondering what tours you ended up doing at Grand Cayman? We are headed there is just a few weeks via cruise and trying get feedback from those who have been there/done that. We want to snorkel and are narrowing down what we should do to make the most of our day.

Hi hikerdeb13!

We are leaving on a cruise out of Galveston this sunday the 29th. We have already made plans to do the 2 stop stingray city tour with Soto's. When we fly to GC we spend 2 days at stingray city (always with Sotos') when we have one day on a cruise at GC we ALWAYS do the stingray city trip with Soto's. besides a great experience we get back near the cruise terminal in time to shop and hang out. Hope this helps.
