We have booked the Pirate Encounter through Disney Cruise Ship at 11:45 am. We wanted to be able to also do the Atlantis Submarine. Would it possible to do this in the morning before the Pirate excursions?
How early does the Atlantis sub start to run? We would probably need to get on the 9 am sub to be back in time for the pirate excursion, because the 10 am one might be cutting it too close if it gets back at 11:30, I guess. Also to account for difference in ship's time and island time wouldn't I need an 8 am sub?

The other possibility is to do the early pirate encounter at 9:30 am and be back at 12 pm and do 1 pm sub.

Welcome to the forum snickers123 Smile ,

I'm afraid that I don't know the answers to your questions in regards to the timing of the Atlantis submarine, but I really think that you should be able to fit it into your day, along with the Pirate Ship. Now, I'm assuming that the "Pirate Encounter" that you have booked through the ship is on the Jolly Roger ship, which is an advertiser here. I know you've already booked it, but you really wouldn't need to book it through the ship.......the pirate ship is moored right there in the harbor.....it would be so easy to get to on your own, and you'd save a lot of money by booking it direct. We have contact information and some pictures if you look here... I even went to their website and they advertise that they have several cruises during the day geared just for cruise ship passengers, so be sure and contact them and ask them about that. Be sure and mention the Activity Guide and you may even get a discount. We do offer a coupon for a discount on their sunset cruise......maybe they'll honor it for the cruise during the day as well. Anyway, by booking it direct, you'll certainly save money.

Now, the submarine is another one that is especially easy to do on your own, since their office and departure point is just steps away from the tender dock. You can find information about the submarine and their contact information here - .
PLUS, if you print off a coupon from the on-line version of the Activity Guide on our website (it's on p. 47 Wink ), you'll get a 10% discount.

Hope this helps,

Char

Does anyone know what time the restaurants open near the pier, or the Margaritavill restaurant? Are there any fast food type places or pizzerias near the pier? This would help with whether to plan a morning or afternoon excursion as far as fitting in lunch. If we did the morning submarine, then it we would have to eat at 11 and finish before 11:45 am for pirate encounter. I don't know if anything would be open at 11.
Is there a site or way to contact eateries to find out this info?

The Hard Rock Cafe is located just steps away from the Atlantis submarine office.......they open at 10:00 a.m.

There are lots of restaurants in the harbor area......believe me, when the ships are in, they will be open.......you won't really find fast food there, but you might be lucky and get a quick meal. There are a few fast food restaurants in Cayman, but as I remember, they are located up the road a bit and not in a convenient location for you.

Remember, there isn't a "pier" in Georgetown.......your ship will be anchored out in the harbor and you will have to be tendered in (so allow time for that in your planning too).

snickers123,

I would just take in consideration that you won't be there very long. The Jolly Roger takes a good 2 1/2 hrs. The sub is about 1hr 45min. all together. You'll have alittle ride to the sub. and the loading and unloading of people takes time. Good Luck!!
