It is a ship. It is on the ocean. Anything is possible. I've never been on anything that big, but I imagine that if the seas get rough enough and the Captain wants to sail through it, then seasickness is a real possibilty. (I've seen pretty wild video on the 'net concerning that...) If you're gonna get sick, don't fight it. Let it fly (overboard please...) You'll feel better soon. Don't eat a greasy breakfast. And don't feel bad. EVERYONE gets seasick from time to time. I know a guy who's been running fishing charters for years and even he gets sick now and then. What does he say? "The only difference between me and you is that I can fish and puke at the same time."

The green flash occures just as the sun sets on the horizon. I've never seen it. I was probably reaching for my beer.

And don't worry, there's never a dumb question here! (But we may laugh from time to time...)

Pam, I'm so full of anxiety, ANTICIPATION, I know I'm being silly, but my family & I run our own business, A MAIL & PARCEL CENTER. we haven't had a vacation in over 20 years, we've had a day or 2 here & there but nothing, long term. This time we decided to stop and take some time for ourself, instead of being there for EVERYBODY ELSE. OOOO, LET ME STOP.

SOOO, that's the reason for this WONDERFUL TRIP OF A LIFETIME. I CAN'T WAIT, sure hope my 7 days don't go by toooo FAST.

You will have a WONDERFUL time!!! The places you are going are the most beautiful in the world. I AM partial to the Grand Cayman, I am sure you have a few things planned for that day ! The best thing is that you are with your family, the ones you love! I have NEVER been more peaceful than I was when I went to GC. I NEVER thought I would love the ocean, I am a mountain girl, but it swept my through my heart, and I have been partial to it ever since. Just enjoy, and leave all your worries and anxiety on the dock!

Hi SLYN!

We went on that same cruise to those same places aboard that same ship last November, you are going to have a blast! The food is good, the nightly entertainment is good and the ports of call are good, do you have any excursions planned?

I'll just chime in here to say that the bigger the ship, the less likely you will be to get seasick......unless you're in a really, really bad storm! They have huge stablizers that keep the ship from doing much rockin and rollin!

If you forget to buy some dramamine or bonine, they'll give you some on the ship.....the last thing they want is for their passengers to be sick!

Have a ball! Enjoy your vacation....sound like you really deserve it!!

Char

Speaking of chumming - ever done it at >50' through a regulator? Trust me, a little nerve wracking but then the fish life afterwards is extraordinary! Barf
