Cayman Safari
Experience the Real Cayman Islands
Must-Do: Cayman Safari provides a premier land based excursion for visitors that exposes Caymanian culture in a vibrant and exciting way so visitors leave Cayman with a much greater appreciation of its history, culture and people. Their Vision is to provide visitors with a holistic Cayman experience, through interaction with locals and visits to key historic and cultural sites, particularly in the outer districts: East End, Bodden Town and Northside.

I usually do not recommended guided tours because as Activity Guide is a guide. And as such, we pride ourselves on providing more than enough information for Cayman Islands visitors to tour the island with nothing more than a vehicle, the latest copy of Activity Guide and a sense of adventure. But this tour is so culturally significant and exceeding in scope and grandeur many of the self guided tours that we recommend, Cayman Safari should be seriously considered by anyone visiting the Cayman Islands and an outright must do for anyone not renting a vehicle.

I know probably as well as anyone how easy it is to get locked into a posh hotel room and sit by the pool ordering drinks all day. But no matter what your vacation lifestyle may be, at least take this tour and get a true feel and understanding of what makes or at least used to make the Cayman Islands such a truly magnificent cultural destination. There is still culture and beauty abounding in the Cayman Islands; it’s just getting a little harder to find with all the new developments.

Cayman Safari is dedicated to finding the most culturally significant aspects of the Cayman Islands in seeing, touching, feeling and experiencing the people, culture, food and heritage of the Cayman Islands. I absolutely guarantee that no matter how many visits you have made to the Cayman Islands, you will gain new perspectives and many unique and wonderful experiences with Cayman Safari.

Their Vision is to provide visitors with a holistic Cayman experience, through interaction with locals and visits to key historic and cultural sites, particularly in the outer districts: East End, Bodden Town and Northside.

All of their guides are Caymanian and have gone through the rigorous Tour Bus Driver Permit testing and approval system to be licensed by the Public Transport Licensing Board. Your Guide will be someone who enjoys making new friends and greeting old friends; who conducts each adventure with an emphasis on fun, safety, hospitality, and local knowledge. The primary mission of each guide is to host, educate and entertain a small group of visitors by leading and transporting them on half-day adventures to special places and introducing them to many of the locals. Your guide will immerse you in the history, culture and natural beauty of the island through stops at key historic and cultural sites and interaction with local craft and food vendors, and other local people.

Enjoy their multi-sensory adventure to discover the unique island charms of Grand Cayman's special places, where Cayman and Caymanians will captivate your mind and steal your heart. In exchange, you will capture unforgettable memories, and the smile will be yours to keep forever!

Joe,

Your picutres are outstanding. So clear. However this type of tour is not for me this year I would consider doing in the future just with your pictures. I love seeing the parts of islands that most people cant even imagine are there. This is the reason we are staying on the northside so its not busy for us. We love to just drive around and find "little treasures"

Thanks again for the info!!

We did a tour like this on Grenada a few weeks ago and loved it. We saw parts of the island we'd never have seen otherwise.

Although we've been to GCM more times than I can remember, we're thinking about doing this to see what we've been missing.

You quote $95 as the cost. Presumably this is for the full day tour??? What is the cost of the half day tour, please?

Just booked this safari for next week. This will be our first trip to the island, but we've done similar tours on other islands and found them to be great. I'll post a review ad update the rating once we've actually been there. So far, we've been corresponding with Shirley, who will be our guide, and she has been very responsive.
