Just wondering if anyone can help with some information.

Are there any public facilities at Smith Cove...... Restrooms, for example ?

This might sound a bit daft, but I plan to be spending the afternoon there after my wedding at Grand Old House...just relaxing on the beach ......but I will need to change in, and out, of my wedding dress somewhere Embarassed ........don't worry its quite a simple, understated dress.......not a big fluffy meringue type Wink !!!

We intend to get picked up from the beach to go back to the ship (on which we will be arriving)...so don't really want to have to go back to GOH (....but if we did is it far from Smith Cove Confused ?)

Thanks in advance rose

Smith Cove does have restrooms. I'm not sure how large they are since only my wife has used them. They also have a "foot washing" station to rinse your feet off before putting shoes back on.

I am sure someone has more accurate info but when we were there in Dec. 06 all they had were Porta Potty's or whatever they are called in your neck of the woods. The little green out houses with blue water. Not sure it would be good for the wedding dress Confused

Doesn't the Grand Old House have a place that you can change--at least they would have a bathroom that must be better than at a beach. they are not too far from the cove

Hi thanks for all the replies Very Happy

Yes, if I had to I would go back to Grand Old House to change ......though since I will be changing into and out of swim wear I'm not sure a top restaurant would appreciate me in a dripping wet bikini (lol) Embarassed

...but the other reason is time...we really want to make the most of our two hours on the beach after the wedding, and don't want to be to & fro ing from the restaurant, if we can help it Smile

Can anyone confirm for sure that the Porta Loos (as we call them) have indeed become permenant restrooms ? (any piccs ??)

It has been upgraded to a small building. It's in the background here. I don't think any of our party went in, so I can't speak to the insides. [/img]
