We get a lot of questions about what not to miss while you are here, so I put together an organized listing (in no order of preference) of some of our most highly recommended things to do during your visit to the Cayman Islands.

There are coupons and discounts for many of these establishments in Activity Guide Magazine. If you do not see Activity Guide prominently displayed at your hotel or condo, please ask to speak to the the GM or manager and inquire as to why it is not available.

Just my opinion, but...I think " Royal Palms should be added to your list as it is a great spot located overlooking the beach where ALL ages can go Thurs. - Sat. night and hear live music in the fresh air while mixing with locals and tourists in a nice, relaxing, casual atmosphere.

As the little boy says in the Disney commerical when his Mom tells him to go back to sleep "I'm too excited to sleep!"

We're going to make sure we see Eugenio and his harp and George Davidson and his piano.

We are set to come on May 26, 2 teen skateboarders. AT this time we are set with Spanish Bay Reef resort. Any info on that. Also, have car rental, what problems are there driving? We are from USA, anything we need to bring?

Where would be good places to go for complete novice snorklers?

Boys are excited about the Black Pearl Skate Park!

What are the top picks for what are most do activities, may be our only trip, so want to make sure we do what we can!

Also, I was told we just needed birth certifcates and Drivers licences until Dec. When I called airline to confirm everything, they told me that I would need marriage licence. Time is short! We are using American Airlines, any one have experiece with that?

I appreciate any and all info! spin

I'm not a moderator, but I still want to say "welcome to the board"! You will not believe the information available on this board. The Stingray City trip is a must from what I've read, and Soto's is strongly recommended for their smaller groups on the boats. There is a Stingray City topic you will see. We are going to Cayman for our first time on 5/23. I've already booked the Stingray trip.

Another popular activity seems to be a "swimming the horses" ride with Pampered Ponies. You can find a thread for that, also. You ride the horses right into the ocean and "swim" them!! I believe there is even a video on this site about it.

If you just scan the topics on this board you will know more before you go than any other vacation you've taken. Additionally, anything you can't find or questions that haven't been answered by reading the information here, just ask. You will get an incredibly quick response from the moderators and Joe Stebbins (the creator).

Wish I could be of more help, but as I said, we haven't been there, yet. I've been visiting this board almost on a daily basis since we booked our trip and feel wonderfully prepared for our trip. Have fun reading and don't be afraid to ask anything! As you will see in many posts, "there are no dumb questions". Have a fantastic trip.

metalkwitu already gave you the top two. I'd add a kayak eco tour to the list too with Cayman Kayaks. You will find discounts for these things as well as skateboarding in Activity Guide when you arrive.

If you book your car with Andy's or Economy you will get a discount for being an Activity Guide member. Most people become accustomed to driving on the other side of the road within a matter of minutes. I switch back and forth all the time as I travel between Cayman and the US and I don't even have to think about it anymore. You'll get the hang of it in no time.

The Cayman Islands are the most modern and upscale destination in the Caribbean. You will find everything you need right here. Liquor is very expensive so if you like to drink you might want to think about bringing your limit of your favorite alcoholic beverages.

You do not need a marriage license. Passports or raised-seal birth certificates are fine for now. Personally, I recommend passports.

Thanks to both of you. Do you have to book the stingray trip ahead, and if so what days are best. That is one thing I would like to do. I see that we will be there at the same time! We get there the 26th. This trip was booked very recently, so haven't had much time to read, Airline is still insisting that they will require my marriage licence or passport. Because we were initially told we did not need these items, I spent all weekend trying to come up with enough to get this done. Because of being married twice, they are saying my different names that I have had because of that causes problems! So we are hoping all goes well! I hate to book any more things until we know for sure we can get there.

Thanks again for the help. I will have to try to get some more reading done!
