In the 90's the upstairs was a sun deck of sorts and if you were on the island waiting for someone coming in you could go up there and wait for them to come and watch them get off the plane and walk to the airport. Is that still the case or have they closed the upstairs off to travelers only or changed it completely?

The upper deck is still there and you can go and wait for people to arrive and wave at them as they get off the plane and go into the building. Our grandkids wanted to make sure we there in time to wave to them. Friends of ours usually arrived before we did, and they always came out to wave at us.

There is some construction going on in the parking lot--I guess they are adding additional parking. When you drop someone off, all you can do is drop them off----no stopping or parking.

One year our friend parked in a place that he shouldn't and they booted him and he had to pay $75 at the airport to get the boot off. So everyone should make sure to park in a legal spot.

The restaurant on the upper level is finally opened. It was closed after Ivan and this is the first year we saw it open again.

Shelly:-)
