I will be flying back to the states threw Miami on a Sunday morning - March 9th to be exact. How long should I allow to get back through customs? It seems that my only options are an hour and a half layover or 5 hours. Im guessing I should go with the 5 hour layover?

Thanks

Karen

isuat,

I was expecting a six-hour layover in Miami the last time I flew out of Cayman Brac, but I found my flight to Miami had been canceled and I had to wait five hours in Grand Cayman. Sad That left me with about an hour to get through customs, etc at Miami. Confused I made it in just under an hour, but it was scary! Smile

We've made it through customs in Miami in less than an hour, but we kinda had to RUN. split An hour and a half is certainly doable. That is if your flight is not delayed....

I guess I have no desire to try to rush through customs. I will be saying by to my boyfriend who I probably won't see for 6 months at least and the last thing I want to do is to rush away Smile

Unfortunately I would opt for the longer layover. Sometimes it takes a long time to get your luggage----and security can take quite awhile. I would rather know for sure that I'm not going to miss the plane (although you can never be sure of that). I think I would prefer at least 2 hours at a minimum and would choose a longer time rather than too short of a time.

Good luck

Shelly :-)
