Welcome to the forum, sherryayc Laughing ,

Lucky you to get to be planning a trip to Grand Cayman! If you go into your profile and enable your vacation countdown, we'll be able to count the days down right along with you!

As far as what to do when you go, I'm sure you know that you can get lots of information just by reading through the various forums here, and/or you can download the latest version of the Activity Guide.

It would also help us to know how long it's been since you were last there and what have you done in the past (things like Stingray City, submarine, etc.).

Anyway, have fun planning!!

Char

I was there last October! I tried to find the star fish beach and didn't have any luck.

I just read that there is now a gate across the entrance to the starfish beach property, so accessing it might be a little tricky.

Here are a few things that you might not have done and which I've enjoyed.

Botanic Garden
Tour Blue Iguana Recovery Program at the Botanic Garden
tour Pedro St. James
kayak trip into mangroves or bioluminescent tour at night
tour Mission House in Boddentown
Dinner on the beach at Kaibo's Luna del Mar (full moon night)

Shelly :-)

A gate across the entance? Sad

Can they do that?

Is it possible to snorkel around to it Snorkel or will it prove difficult against the current?

The location that I though might be the right location was very shallow and had lots of grass. Does this sound like it might be the right location? Didn't see any star fish.

Thanks, Shelly, I will consider all. I have been to Pedro Castle. The bluff there is one of my favorite places on the Island. I'm not aware of the Mission house in Boden town. Is it on the main road?

Does anyone else hate the fact that there are now large Iguanas on Seven Mile Beach? I'm not talking about the little ones! Reminds me too much of Aruba. I don't like them. I would think this is because of all the clearing on the Island.

Sometimes there are a lot of starfish and sometimes none--Did you take the road that goes past Kaibo restaurant all the way to the end? That's where starfish beach is. It's a peninsula--past Pools of the Kai

Mission House is a short distance off the main road --

Shelly :-)
