We are going to Grand Cayman in September and was
looking for things to do.
We came across the CARIBBEAN BAREFOOT BEACH BBQ
on Tuesday nights.
I have not seen anything about this on the forum.
Can anyone tell me something about this event and where it
is at on the island?
THANKS.

Hi JerryJoanne

Barefoot Beach BBQ is at Kaibo. We've been there a few times.

Check out this link for lots of information on Kaibo

We've been there a few times. It's a nice BBQ dinner. Rum Punch is 2 for 1. Cookies and Rum cake for dessert.

It's on the other side of the island, near Rum Point. You could make a day of it on that side of the island, have dinner, listen to the band and then head back to the other side of the island (if that's where you're staying)

If you don't want to drive, they have a water taxi and if you could get a group together it wouldn't be too expensive--other wise I think it's around $125 or $150. There is information on their website about it and probably on the link I've given you. I just relooked at that link and it says the water taxi is $20 (maybe that's CI) don't know if you have to get a whole boatload together to get that price. You'd have to check with them on that. Last month they were running a deal with the water taxi and BBQ for $45 ea. That would be a pretty good deal as long as you didn't have to fill the boat.

Shelly :-)
