Hello Everyone,
New to the Cayman Guide and my first trip to the
Grand Cayman Islands is in September 2010 for 10 days.
My wife and I are so exited to go. Jump
We are staying at the Westin, did not rent a car though.
Any information about the Islands or the web site would
be helpful. Thank you!

Being my first time, will I regret not renting a car?

You might want to rent a car to get around to the other side of the island. If you are just going to stay in the SMB area you can manage without one. But the other side of the island is so interesting to see.

There is a tour called Cayman Safari that will take you around to see a more authentic side of the island.

There is so much information on this site--scroll thru the different areas and if you have additional questions, be sure to ask them

click the link below for a list of recommended things to do on the island

So many travel placed in the Cayman. In Cayman Seven Mile Beach is beautiful. It's in the top 5 of all the beaches I've seen around the world..Last time we were there it was only 3 or 4 dollars per person to go to Seven Mile Beach. I am sure that there is probably regular bus service as well, probably cheaper.

We just returned from Cayman this past weekend. We rented a car for the week we were there. Very reasonable rates. We totally enjoyed the flexibility of being able to come and go as we pleased and explore all parts of the island. Our condo was right next door to the Westin...great part of the beach.
