Hi everyone. Just realized that we'll be there on the Queen's birthday which is a public holiday. We were planning on going into G'town to do some cruise ship free shopping. Will the shops be open even though it's a holiday?
Thanks from a newbie!!

Hi ARIZONAGIRL: Most visitor shops, restaurants and activities will be open. All government, schools and most non-visitor related businesses will be closed.

The overall impact of public holidays in the Cayman Islands are minimal for most visitors, with the possible exception of Christmas.

Have a great vacation!

Hi Joe.
Thank you sooo much! I was getting concerned that we'd have to go to G' town on a cruise ship day.
Also, just wanted to let you know this is an awesome forum and everyone is always so helpful and fun to read. clapping
We spent a day on Cayman 29 yrs ago on our honeymoon cruise out of Miami. We are now timeshare owners and traded to come to GC. Thanks to you and all the friends at CAG we will surely enjoy this return trip to paradise.
