We are planning a trip to the Caymans in February. Are looking at a condo on 7 mile beach. We are from Iowa and have never booked a trip without a travel agent. Are concerned about flying out in snow, ice ect. and possible delays. Do any Condos offer trip insurance. Any info would be helpful!

We have gotten trip insurance online and have even used it for a trip to the emergency room. I think the rates are usually 5-7% or so. Some of the condos let you rebook for another date when there is a hurricane, but I don't think that would apply if we have bad weather in the states.

We always go to Cayman in the winter and have never not gotten there on the day that we had planned. On the other hand, we once were marooned in Miami on our return for 4 days in that huge storm over christmas break a number of years ago. I would suggest that you go early in the day and leave enough connection time in case there are delays when you depart.

We always book our trips ourselves and have never had a problem.

Good luck.
