Hi Joe,

We've done it in 15 minutes at times, and an hour at others, with 30-45 minutes being a safe average. It kind of depends on how many flights arrive around the same time and where they come from.

Sorry I couldn't narrow it down more!
DS

Hi Joe,

I totally agree with what Divesergeant told you.......it depends entirely on how many other planes have landed the same time you did. Even if your plane is the only one there, and you zip right through the first line (immigration), you may have to wait a bit for your luggage to come off the plane. If you do find long lines at immigration, I do have a hint for you....over towards the right, there are one or two lines that are supposed to be for Caymanian residents only. BUT.....many, many times they will let tourists go through those stations. Just keep your eye peeled on the immigration agents at those windows....they just make a casual motion of the hand, or a nod of the head....they don't stand up and make a loud announcement or anything, so pay attention.

Another thing you should know is that after you claim your luggage and then pass through the Customs line, you'll be allowed to leave the arrival lounge and step outside to where the cabs are. There is a taxi dispatcher who sits at a little hut and you'll need to check in with him/her for a cab. They will then hand you a piece of paper with the pre-established fare to get to your hotel (in both Cayman dollars and US dollars).

Char

I forgot about the right-hand line trick. Thanks for picking up the slack, Char!
