My husband and youngest daughter are avid tennis players and they were wondering if there are any public tennis courts or if any of the hotels will allow outside guests to rent a court. We are staying near Rum Point but they would probably be willing to drive across the island to get a match of tennis in.

Thanks for any info you may have.

MNMOM,

Sorry no responses yet. I've done some googling and didn't find anything too helpful.

I remember a court at the split where the road in the Rum Point area branches off toward Kaibo, but the memory is fuzzy and I think the court was in disrepair.

I see you are leaving tomorrow. Have a safe and enjoyable trip. We'd love to read a trip report upon your return.

DS

MNMOM,

I just found that the Discovery Point Club and Grandview have courts. Check under hotel search in upper right hand corner and they should list which other hotels have courts. Hope that helps!

MNMON,
The Reef Resort on the East End has tennis courts.
You could shoot them an email and ask about using them. typing they are not very far from Rum Point at all.
Enjoy you visit sun

Thank you for your replies. I think my husband is going to check on the Retreat at Rum Point about court rental fees and then the Reef Resort. We were planning on going to the Reef anyway to check it out for future visits and maybe snorkel while there. We'll probably have lunch at the Rusty Pelican beach bar. I will let you know if he has success utilizing these facilities when I get back.

[B]ONE DAY & COUNTING !!!!!

My husband and daughter were able to find a decent public tennis court on the left side of the road on the way to Rum Point just past the old Driftwood and across the street from a magnificent home. It was missing a fence facing the parking lot but the surface was fine and they were happy they didn't have to drive too far. They were able to play every other day in the early evening. Just thought I'd let you know they found a place to play. I hope to get a trip report up soon.

MNMOM,

Sounds like it worked out well. We're looking forward to your report.

Now, if I can just find a volleyball court on our next trip, I'll be in heaven!
