This may be a stupid question, but hey-I want to know. I know the east end has the sunrise, however, how far must I travel around to get a good sunset spot? Does Kaibo get the sunset? I am having difficult positioning everything...

Hello caymanbound2,

Welcome to the forum! wave
Not sure about the east end, but I'm sure you'll get a good response to that. I get a wonderful sunset right off of 7mb and have gotten some beautiful pics there as well. Palm

Hi caymanbound2

Welcome to the forum, and no, it isn't a stupid question!

I just checked Google Earth to make sure I was remembering the geography correctly.

I don't think the sun will set far enough to the north to see the sunset from the Kaibo area. The N/W corner of the island will probably be in the way.

So, here's my suggestion, book a dinner at the Reef Grill at the Royal Palms, ask for the upper deck, and enjoy a superb sea bass and a great Cayman sunset.

DS

As long as we are talking about sunrise and sunsets, can anyone tell me what time the sunrises and sunsets occur at this time of year. Might be handy when making dinner reservations.

Thanks!

You can see the sunset from Kaibo---you might have to walk to near the water, but our son took some nice sunset pictures from there.

Shelly :-)

I am really glad to hear that! I was pretty sure Kaibo would be the place to be catch a sunset on the "other" side of the island. Thanks for the info!
