Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Just in the planning stages for a trip hopefully next spring. My husband and I were in the Caymans more than 15 years ago. We stayed at Treasure Island on 7 mile. We loved visiting Rum Point. I am wondering about the surf and current on the East end and the North Side. Prefer a low key vacation with lots of beach time and not so much for the party scene.

Thanks

Hi kande9

You might want to check what Cayman Villas has to offer. They have a number of properties on the other side of the island--lots of peace and quiet over there. They have a CAG discount. Use the hotel search --

The east part of the island is the windy side, so the waves and current will be much stronger than anywhere else. North side diving is also pretty advanced, except for Rum Point where the lagoon is 2 feet deep.

Thank you JKam and Shelly. I have much research to do. I appreciate your time and advice. Is there a guide book that you can recommend?

I have a recent Frommer's and Lonely Planet around here somewhere. Other suggestions?

Thanks

This whole site is a guide book and it FREE. You do know there is a whole website and magazine online besides just this message board? Honestly, I have not found more information for the Cayman Islands all assembled into one place than there is right here for free.

JKam,

I have not cruised around this website at length yet. But...I will. Thanks for the heads up
