We're finally counting down the last few days before our first trip to Cayman. I'm going over the packing list, trying to keep it down to a minimum. Anyone have words of wisdom on that subject? Thanks for any and all help! Jump palm Cool spin

Hi Theuhens,

Pack what you think you need, and take a third of it out! We seldom wear all of our clothes, in fact I wear about half of what I pack. Stick with versatile items you can mix n match. If your lodging has a washer, even better, you can pack even less!

Some people take food and drink. We don't, other than some snacks to get us thriough the trip down.

You can buy anything you need on Grand Cayman, so you need not worry about forgetting something.

Obviously, make sure you have adequate stock of any prescriptions, they might be hard to fill.

See ya,

DS

If you're near Rum Point, I bet that you have a wash machine--that really helps to cut down on what you take. This year I did practically everything in black and white, so that everything was mix and match--never had to worry about the right pants and the right top. I always take too much, but my clothes don't take up as much room as my husbands do. (that's how I rationalize it anyway)

Have a great trip

Shelly :-)

We can't wait to get there. The wife will, as usual, over pack. She just does. I have learnded to accept this as a fact of life. I guess it's better to have too much than too little. That's her advice.

We will over pack and still forget something. That's just the way it is. If you forget something, take it in stride and buy what you need when you get there.

See you there. We are staying on the north side near Rum Point at a beech house.

[I]Looking forward to getting our feet in the sand and a drink in our hand.
