this is going to be my first time to grand cayman and was wanting to go parasailing and snorkeling. I am coming in on a cruise ship the first part of may and was wanting a excursion that i could do both for one price. Is there anything out there like that. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi sassy123 and welcome to the Forum!

you should have plenty of time to do both, when you leave the ship and land at the tendering dock if you go to your right and follow the shore down past the main activities at Georgetown there is a place called Eden Rock Dive center, actually I think there are two and this Forum recommends the second which is the one I have used. If you have your own snorkeling equipment you can enter the water behind the dive center (there are metal stairs going into the water) if you don't you can rent everything right there. there is no charge for just entering the water and it's a very nice snorkeling sight.

I guess it would also depend on whether your excursion is "early". If so you would have time to snorkle AND go shopping in Georgetown

we've only been to GC a couple of times on a cruise ship but that's what we do, early excursion, snorkeling at Eden Rock, lunch, shopping and then if there's time just playing in the water

Hope you have a great time! I'm guessing like most of us here once you experience Grand Cayman you'll be hooked! I have a satellite picture of the Island at my desk!

Squid

I just went Parasailing on Saturday, we went with Parasailing Professionals. It was AWESOME and took only about 1/2 an hour from start to finish.

Hi kptoys! I find that very hard to believe! Maybe you could prove it WITH A TRIP REPORT WITH PICTURES!

Ha ha ha, I am working on it I swear!!! I have over 800 pictures to deal with and 3 small kids to tend to. I DO happen to have a parasailing VIDEO from Saturday if that will help tide you over.

I'm having withdrawal issues, I haven't been to GC since last nov and that was one day on a cruise so I'm starting to get the shakes.... maybe a trip report would help calm me down!

Normaly we would fly there in feb. but I changed jobs and lost all my vacation time so it won't be until NEXT feb. AIEE AIEE AIEE!
