My wife insists that if you pee in the ocean you run the risk of somekind of organism entering your body through your private parts. Is this legit? :? .........not that I'll pee in the ocean of course...lol Wink

There are two types of divers. Those that pee in their wetsuits, and those that pee in their wetsuits and lie. rolllaugh

But seriously, I know of no health risks (if there were, I would be dead by now rolllaugh) and there is an interseting article about this HERE.

Joe,

When I wrote this "new topic" under general questions it somehow took the place of John's trip report title and ended up in his trip report section. Very strange, but then again I guess peeing in the ocean is strange too....NOT! My wife must be related to Celine......both don't know what they're talking about. Gotcha Celine! Please don't tell my wife on me. Cheers

Oh dear! My wife doesn't know what she's talkin' about because she thinks something oceanic is going to swim up her bathing suit when she pees and for you Celine....ummmm.....weren't you the one who said that photobucket was easy? I just tried uploading a photo on the photobucket website and it only shows the top 1/3 of the picture. When I tried uploading a different photo to photobucket, I didn't get anything. I'm getting ready for when I get back from Cayman.....practice makes perfect and I've seen all the troubles everyone else has had....looks like I'm in the same boat....and it's sinking fast! :o

P.S. I promise not to include the pee pee report in my own trip report when I return. However, apparantly, that might not matter - might get in there anyway!

Gosh....what a fun topic we're on... Razz ...I'd like to know who HASN'T peed in their wetsuit! We could have a poll, but I know the outcome.

That was really a good article, Joe. One thing I learned was that we shouldn't rinse our wetsuits in the dive tank after the dive, but instead in a warm shower (to keep them from stinking). I'll remember that for next year.....Of course, I wash them really well when we get home, but after two weeks of diving each year in Cayman.....hmmmmmm.....we don't want to be stinkin! nono1

Whenever I pee in my wetsuit, it kinda reminds me of those old York peppermint patty commercials.... Rolling Eyes

I can't belive this is my first posting. Well for those who just can't get used to going in their wetsuit you can get one of these.

http://www.extreme-exposure.com/acc/dryaccessories.shtml

I don't use one in my wetsuit but in a drysuit they are and absolute necessity. Unfortunatly they only work for men.
