I'm so excited Captain Jack! Jump

It's something I've thought about doing for years, so at 40-something - I'm finally going to try it. It's will be great having you with us down below and the rest of the gang snorkeling above on shark patrol.

Just kidding, I'm not worried about sharks, just hope I will be able to do it - I picture myself being one of those "bobbers" who can't stay down, so it will be very interesting to see how all that works. I hope to get some reading in to get a little familiar with things before I go.

(note to self: pick up "Scuba for Dummies" along with camera batteries and sunscreen this weekend.)

Kay,

You are going to do just fine. Look who you are going with, do you think he'd let you bob? I highly doubt it!

One day, I hope to 'try' this. My family did, I could not that day...darn it.

Is anyone seeing that the temp is 84 and the water temp the same.

Oh, Kay! How exciting!

I knew you were thinking about it! Glad you decided to go ahead and give it a try! You'll do fine!

Don't worry about bobbing.....your dive instructor will probably give you lots of weight, plus he or she will probably have extra weights along that they can just slip into your BC underwater. They will take good care of you!

Oh, and don't worry about any critters in the water coming after you, big or small. Well........maybe there is one you have to watch out for....

That would scare me!

I think that it is a Jackfish.

I believe that as long as you keep it loaded with Rum or Stingray it is pretty tame. Without either of those things you may run into problems! But, then again when it is loaded you might have to watch out too....there is no telling what the Jackfish will do!

My question is, does that mean there will be no alcohol consumption the night before your dive? Oops.

Good luck, Kay! I know you can do it!

If I can certify, you can certify! Just make sure you relax as you descend...that helps tremendously!

Kay,

That's great news! As much as you enjoy snorkeling, you are going to enjoy diving much more! Just listen to your instructor, try to relax and you'll do fine! Divegirl

Just about a week to go! clapping
