Hi... My boyfriend and I will be heading from Boston to Grand Cayman for Pirate's week this year (can't wait) and we will be staying at the Courtyard by Marriott. Last May was my first trip to GC and I absolutely fell in love with the island. We had gone into a shop in Georgetown which had all information in regards to Pirates week. We took home a free Pirate week poster which is currently framed and hung in his bar area. My boyfriend loves piracy Last November we had a Pirate party at his house, in lieu of going to GC. (definitely not a close second) All of are friends and family had a blast, most people were dressed as pirates and wenches, they really got into the theme... This year we have made reservations to party with the real pirates on GC. We also booked a sunset cruise on the Jolly Rogers that week. My boyfriend is already making me nervous, he said he is going to capture the Mayor this year at the landing...(joking of course, I hope) I think he is reincarnated . In his previous life he must have been a pirate. He definitely has the ARRRRGGG down.

It's almost here and I am getting my costume ready!!!! Laughing

cupcake01,

Hi! We took the Jolly Roger cruise. It was one of the best excursions we did. We had so much fun with the crew and pirates. We even continued our party at the Royal Palms. pirate pirate dancing dancing band

My husband and I along with our two daughters (12 and 8) have been eagerly awaiting Pirates Week since we made our reservations last May. We're staying in Rum Point at a condo because we really prefer the area. Our last visit to GC was in 2004 and we stayed at The Reef Resort. We loved it but found it a little too remote at times. We've been dying to go back to GC ever since. VERY pleased to see the new Turtle Farm/Boatswains (something we didn't visit the first time because it looked run-down and depressing) it will be a must-do this time. See you in Grand Cayman in just 11 days! Arrrrgggg!

I've not missed a Pirates Week in almost ten years. I wish they would stop changing the dates though!

I know what you mean about the Reef Resort. Tried that once, never again.

I just missed the final stages of Boatswains Beach last trip. From the looks of things it sure looks like a great way to spend the day.

oh Diane, I'm so very sorry. Please accept my sincere sympathies for your loss. Hopefully, it's some comfort that he didn't suffer though it's never easy any way.

It's Cayman's loss that you won't be there.

God bless,
Celine
