THE CAYMAN ISLANDS SHOWCASES CULINARY AND MUSICAL TALENT AT ACTS RUM & RHYTHM FESTIVAL

Washington, D.C. (June 25, 2008) On Tuesday evening, June 24th, an exiting first Annual Caribbean Tourism Summit (ACTS) week came to a close with a festive night of Caribbean rum, island fare, music and dance.

Cayman’s own chefs and musicians stole the show. Serving up crab cakes, corn fritters and other local delicacies to guests were Grand Cayman Beach Suites Chef Vidyadhara Shetty, Bethany Ebanks of the Tourism Apprenticeship Training Programme who is based at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort, and Bacchus Executive Chef Keith Griffin (pictured below from left to right).

Livening up the crowd was top Cayman musical group Heat, who performed crowd-pleasing numbers and brought their own brand of Caymanian rhythm to the event (below).
